Programme Details. Day 1 - You will be collected from the airport and driven to Macugnaga where you will check into your hotel. You will then meet with your mountain guide to explain the programme, sort out and check your equipment or arrange your equipment if you do not intend to bring your own. Your time is then your own to relax and enjoy dinner in the Hotel and maybe an early night in preparation for the challenge ahead! Day 2 - This first day will be spent off piste in the local Macugnaga/Monte Rosa area with your guide to test your skills and give you any tips and guidance necessary to enjoy the next three days to the max plus ensure you stay safe. Dinner is provided at your Hotel in Macugnaga with time to enjoy the après ski facilities that Macugnaga has to offer. Day 3 - The helicopter will fly you from Macugnaga to 3 different mountain peaks over the day. The total descent will be between 4,000 and 5,000m in total with the highest peak being 3,000m. The helicopter will then return you to Macugnaga for the night. Day 4 - You will be flown to the top of the Monte Rosa mountain range to a height of 4,500m. From here you will ski down through the Monte Rosa Glacier to Zermatt in Switzerland. Following lunch in Zermatt you will ski/board off piste in the Zermatt ski area. You will then enjoy an overnight stay in a mountain refuge at Testa Grigia in Plateau Rosa (3,500m) where dinner will be provided. Day 5 - First thing in the morning you will take the cable car from Testa Grigia to Piccolo Cervino where you will meet your helicopter, which will fly you to Porta Nera at 3,700m. From Porta Nera you will free ride down the north face of the Schwarzegletscher Raggiunta to 1800m then back to Piccolo Cervino to ski down under the east face of the Matterhorn. This is a tough and challenging day with the total descent being 5,000m.
